Scouts Badges & Uniforms

A Scout’s uniform is an important part of their Scouting life. They wear a Group neckerchief with a coloured woggle denoting the ‘Six’ they belong to with the section. Once invested, they will earn badges for completing activities and taking part in events. These should be sew onto their green Scout shirt. See the guide below for help with positioning badges. The galley at the bottom of the page has some examples of some of our members shirts.

As well as badges earned at meetings and organised activities, members can also earn badges for activities done away from Scouts. You can learn more about badges and how to earn them here.

We no longer sell uniforms. Uniforms can be purchased from the Ormskirk District Scout Shop:

  • District HQ, Hall Lane, Lathom, L40 5UN
  • Fridays (7.00pm – 8.30pm)
  • Saturdays (10.00am – 12.00noon)
  • Closed for school holidays
